New Resource: Kanopy (Streaming Platform)
We are excited to announce the addition of Kanopy to our electronic resources collection!
What is Kanopy? Kanopy is a video streaming service that provides instant access to thousands of critically acclaimed movies, documentaries, and kids’ favorites. Kanopy partners with studios like A24, The Criterion Collection, PBS and more to bring provide your library (and you) access to thoughtful entertainment. Kanopy’s collection includes film festival favorites, world cinema, independant and classic films, and a wide variety of content for both academic research and leisure viewing.
How can I watch Kanopy? You can stream Kanopy on any of your favorite devices! Kanopy is accessible via mobile and tablet apps for iPhone and Android. You can also access Kanopy on your desktop computer, and SmartTV apps like Roku, Apple TV, and Fire Stick. (Kanopy is also listed on our website’s Resources page.)
How to create an account:
- To get started, visit https://www.kanopy.com/en/wwpl and select the “Add Library Card” button on the lower left
- Enter your library card credentials
- Create an account using your preferred email
- Begin streaming
You must have your library card and PIN/password to get started.
Each WWPL library card holder will get 12 tickets per month. Happy viewing!
