Ribbon Cutting Set for Noon in Atrium of New Library
The Westfield Washington Public Library is pleased to announce the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art building on Saturday, June 1. The opening festivities will commence with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon in the atrium.
“This building has been meticulously planned to meet the evolving needs of Westfield’s residents,” says Sheryl Sollars, Executive Director of the Westfield Washington Public Library. “We invite everyone to join us as we embark on this exciting new chapter together.”
The grand opening will be followed by a slew of activities to kick off the library’s Summer Reading Program, promising an exciting day of celebration and entertainment for visitors of all ages. This year’s theme is “Adventure Begins at Your Library” and will include a visit from life-like dinosaurs and folklorico dancers at 2:00 p.m. and a ukulele circle at 4:00 p.m.
The new 43,000 square foot facility, located at 17400 Westfield Boulevard, features expanded parking, a dedicated teen area, a spacious community room, and a coffee shop. Additionally, the 3.6-acre property will offer outdoor activity space for the community to enjoy. The Westfield Washington Township offices will call the west side of the building home.
