Road Closure on State Road 32

Road Closure on S.R. 32 may affect your route to the library.

On or after Monday, April 7, INDOT contractor Rieth-Riley Construction will close a portion of State Road 32 in Westfield for reconstruction as part of the 32 Connects project. Construction will take place in multiple phases, with all of S.R. 32 west of Union Street and the southern half of S.R. 32 east of Union Street being reconstructed in 2025, followed by the northern half east of Union Street and completion of the roundabout at East Street and S.R. 32 in 2026.

As this road closure is located fairly near the library, patrons may need to plan alternate transportation routes when coming to the library. If you are coming from the west on S.R. 32, you will still be able to turn south onto Poplar Street at the roundabout, and you won’t be impacted by the road closure. If you are coming from the east on S.R. 32, you will need to take an alternate route. (Please view the attached diagrams for detour routes.)

The library can be accessed from the south by taking 169th Street, and turning north onto Westfield Blvd.

Additional road reconstruction work will continue later in 2025 and throughout 2026. More information is available at 32Connects.com. Please remember to slow down and use extra caution when traveling to and near work zones. Work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.
