Announcements
Become a member – Your dues support our mission and your ideas are the key to our success. Members enjoy benefits of up to 40% off of new books ordered through the Friends, 10% off of Friends merchandise (used books and tote bags), a copy of the quarterly newsletter sent by mail, and the option to participate in volunteer activities.
Help with Book Sales – The Friends organize book sales as a primary fundraiser for the library. Volunteers are needed to help set up and/or tear down the sales, organize donations, and to serve as cashiers during operating hours. There are also opportunities to volunteer between sales to organize the weeded and donated books that make up the inventory.
Serve on the Board of Directors – The Friends Board of Directors meets eight times a year (every month except Dec, Jan, March and April) to discuss business matters, vote on expenditures, and plan fundraising events. All members are welcome to attend and any member is eligible to hold office.
Donate Resources – We accept gently used books, DVDs and CDs which may be added to the library’s collection or sold in the book sale. Recycling your donated cell phones also helps bring in additional funds.
Sponsor a Magazine – For an average of $15 (depending on title) you can sponsor a magazine for an entire year. Contributing toward the subscription price of a magazine that is part of the library’s collection helps keep the library’s expenses down. Sponsors have the option of having their names display as thanks for their contribution.
